 Real Snow Sno-Cones

Make your own sno-cone out of real snow!

You will need:

Parents permission

· Kool-Aid ® packet (any flavor)

· 2 cups granulated sugar

· 3/4 Cups Water

· Snow ball (make sure the snow is clean; remember: Don’t eat yellow snow!)

· Sheet of white printer paper

First, bring sugar and water to a boil (ask parent’s help with this part). Next, remove from heat and pour in Kool-Aid ® mix. Then, let the mixture chill in the refrigerator. While your sno-cone syrup is chilling make the cup for your sno-cone (see left for instructions). After you’ve made your sno-cone cup you can bundle up, run outside, and make a snowball! Be sure to grab clean snow! Don’t pack the snowball too tight, otherwise the syrup will not soak into the snow. Now, put your snowball into the paper cup and pour the syrup over the snow. Enjoy!

Watch the above video for step by step instructions.

1. Fold the square diagonally. It will be in the shape of a triangle after this step.

2. Find the center of one of the open sides. Fold the point from the opposite side to this center mark

3. Repeat with the other side.

4. Separate and fold down each of the top flaps to create an opening in your paper cup. As you do this, tuck the top one of the top flaps into the outer side flap hold the cup together securely.
